A former Minister of Power and Steel, Paul Unongo has died.
According to reports, the Second Republic minister died on Tuesday morning at age 87 in Plateau, Jos.
The deceased hailed from Jato Aka in the Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State.
He had lost the 1983 Benue gubernatorial election to late Aper Aku.

Unongo also chaired the Northern Elders Forum in 2017.
He sercved as Chairman of the Governing Council of Nigerian Educational Research Development Council.
