Fuel scarcity hits Ondo communities

Communities in Akoko area of Ondo state especially Ikare, Ugbe and Arigidi this morning woke up to experience a long queue in a few filling stations dispensing fuel.

At a popular filling station at Ugbe- Akoko, it was very chaotic as motorists were eager to get the essential product.

Also at central area of Ikare in Ilepa, the motorcyclists and motorists were lined up, while those who wanted to buy into containers for domestic use were also struggling to get attention.

A motorist, Terin Amuleya described this development as a serious setback to the country dwindling and fragile economy.

An oil and gas magnate in Ikare Akoko,Alhaj Gani Amuda attributed the sudden scarcity of fuel in some filling stations to adulterated fuel imported to the country which some claimed has negatively affected their vehicles engine.

Amuda urged the federal government to kindly revamp all local refineries to reduce this problem capable of further dwindling the economy of the country.
