The immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has said that he is impressed by the appointment of Femi Gbajabiamila as the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu.
Wike made this known during an interview with Channels Television on Friday.
ThisNigeria reported that Tinubu announced Gbajabiamila as his COS, Sen. Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, a former Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, as Deputy Chief of Staff and former Governor of Benue State and immediate past Minister of Special Duties, George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
Reacting, Wike said, “I am very impressed about the appointment of the former speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila As the Chief of Staff.

“The major reason why I am impressed about the appointment is that Honorable Femi Gbajabiamila is someone who already has a relationship with the legislature. The legislature is however an important arm of government that cannot be thrown away.
“Nearly every one of us knows that there is always a problem between the legislature and the executive arm of the government but with this appointment, that problem is already solved.”
