Ghana: Let Peace Reign, Obasanjo tells Mahama, Akufo-Addo

Former president and chairman of the African Union (AU), Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has canvassed peace and stability as the general election holds in Ghana on Monday December 7, 2020.

A former Ghanaian’s president, John Dramani Mahama is vying for the poll under the National Democratic Congress NDC as the opposition party.

On the other hand, the incumbent President, Nana Akufu Addo is vying for a second term under the New Patriotic Party, NPP

In a letter to the leaders of the parties, copies which were made available to newsmen by his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi today,  Obasanjo canvassed efforts at enhancing mutual trust and confidence among themselves in the relevant national institutions and in the electoral process.

Obasanjo prayed and wished that the country should be a winner irrespective of the party that wins the election.

He noted that with his humble voice, the region and the continent would count on their patriotism during and after the election.
