
8 Division of Nigeria Army has called on Nigerians to ensure healthy living and support security agencies in fighting insurgency.
Yusuf made the call on Monday when he inaugurated free medical outreach as part of the Nigerian Army Day Celebration in the Sifawa community in the Bodinga Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
The GOC, who was represented by the Garrison Commander, Brig. Gen. Ralph Nnebeife underscored the importance of good health.
Yusuf said that the Nigeria Army had the best medical personnel and extended their services to all Nigerian people through outreach programs and routine activities.
” Nigeria Army has one of the best medical health care experts that are capable of handling all forms of ailments.
” Where we do not have the medicines for some ailments at this exercise, we will ensure that we provide same even after today” the GOC promised.
He appealed to the people of the Sifawa community to be patient that the medical personnel on the ground would do their best to provide them with the needful.
Speaking at the occasion, the District Head, Sarkin Kudu of Sifawa, Alhaji Buhari Tambari, expressed appreciation to the Nigerian Army for all its gestures towards assisting humanity.
Tamburri urged people to be patient and law-abiding during the medical outreach and enjoyed residents to support security agencies with useful information to tackle security challenges.
The Director of Health, Bodinga local government area, Alhaji Bello Maigande prayed Almighty Allah to continue to bless the Nigeria Army.
” This medical outreach is a great relief for most people that don’t even have the financial means and otherwise to access medical attention.
” Our happiness, therefore, is the fact that the same medical attention has come to their doorsteps and for free,” he said.
The medical outreach team lead, Major Dikkol Dakup, said they were fully prepared with expertise, surgeons, and other professionals in the health sector that would enable them to get the very best of their services.

Dakup further listed activities for the medical outreach to included, health talks, consultations, dental services, eye care services.
Others are laboratory services, COVID-19 awareness and sensitization, and immunization amongst others.
A beneficiary, Halima Umar, commended the Nigerian Army for the exercise which she said would be beneficial to the public.
