Gov. Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has approved the recruitment of 1,000 teachers by the Gombe State Teachers’ Service Commission (TSC).
TSC’s Chairperson, Mrs. Na’omi Maiguwa disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday by Ismaila Misilli, Director-General Press Affairs, Government House, Gombe.
She said the recruitment was part of the governor’s effort toward consolidating the objectives of his declaration of a state of emergency on education.
According to Maiguwa, the approval is a result of genuine concern over the shortage of teachers in public secondary schools across the state.
