Some Senators of All Progressive Congress (APC) and minority Senators in the Upper Chamber have threatened to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari over the worsening insecurity across the country.

This is following a staged walk out by the senators after the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan refused to agree to a motion moved by Minority Leader Philip Aduda, imploring the Senate to debate on rising cases of insecurity in the country.

The aggrieved senators, however, gave the president an ultimatum of six weeks to curb insecurity or face a formal notice of impeachment from them.
