The federal government has issued an approval to the Lagos state government for the construction of the proposed Lekki-Epe Airport.

The Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu received the approval on Tuesday at the Lagos Economic Summit, Ehingbeti 2022 which was held at the Eko Hotel and Suites.

The minister of aviation, Hadi sirika presented the certificate of approval to the governor during the event.

Sirika said the ministry is pleased to issue the approval to the Lagos state government and and its people, while adding that the move will “help to decongest the Murtala International Airport.”
