The Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has been commended for being proactive by naming the police officers involved in brutalising #EndSARS protesters in the ongoing protests.
Mrs Blessing Okojie-Eze, National president of the Women of Inestimable Value (WIV), commended Governor Sanwo-Olu and described his step as a good development.
“The WIVs are highly impressed with our Governor, Mr Sanwo-Olu, who has been working day and night to sanitise Lagos state even in the ongoing #EndSARS protest. We specifically commend him for putting efforts in place that brought the officers who brutalised people in the ongoing #EndSARS protest to book and naming them publicly.
“This is a major demand of the #EndSARS protesters. He promised and lived up to expectations. It shows he has listening ears and passionate about the affairs of the people of Lagos,” Okojie-Eze said.
The National President also said that if the officers are found guilty, they should be made to face the law accordingly to further pacify the people.
She also said their group got involved in the protests by joining other groups in Gbagada when they came out to the streets to show their support.
