Gunmen attack residence of Ex Sports Minister in Plateau

Unknown gunmen  yesterday attacked the residence of Former Sports Minister, Damishi Sango  in Plateau state.

It was  gathered that  the unknown gunmen attacked the residence of the former sports minister located at Danwal, ganawuri, after Vom, in Riyom Local Government Area around 9:00p.m. on Wednesday.

According to reports  two security details, alongside a boy were shot.

It was also learnt that their rifles were said to have been carted away by the rampaging bandits during the night attack.

Ex Sport Minister

According to spokesman of the Plateau state Police Command, ASP. Gabriel Ubah, “the Command is aware of the incident at Riyom and the victims have been rushed to the hospital where they are receiving treatment.

Ubah said, “I am not aware yet whether they were dispossessed of their rifles.

The Commissioner of Police Edward Egbuka,  just left the scene of crime.

He further explained that, “a team of detectives and intelligence officers have already commenced investigation and manhunt for the criminals”.

The Former minister and his family are not hurt, he stated.
