The kidnappers who struck three days ago along Owo- Ikare road and seized four prominent sons of Ikare- Akoko has reached out to their captors’ respective families.
They demanded for N50m ransom before they could release the victims.
According to a source, the families were not buoyant enough to pay such huge amount of money.
The source also said fervent inter denominational prayers and fasting are going on in the ancient town of Ikare-Akoko for the safety of the victims in captivity.
A security expert and the Jagunmolu of Ogbagi-Akoko, Group Captain Lanre Adebambo urged all Akoko community to synergize and collaborate to have a formidable security outfits that will make Akoko roads safe for travellers.
He said was as a result of the position of Akokoland as gateway to Ondo state from the Northern part of the country.
