Ogun Governor Cancels Resumption Levy For SS3 Students

Parents of SS3 children in Ogun state private boarding schools have criticised the governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for the levy imposed on them.
Each parent was expected to pay N25,000 for COVID-19 and malaria tests for their ward. This was in preparation for resumption for students in exit classes as directed by the Federal Ministry of Education.
In a statement on Monday evening, Governor Abiodun issued directed that the medical tests carried out by the government laboratories be without charge.
He also directed that those who have paid be refunded.
Furthermore, he personally signed a statement stating that the government has put guidelines in place to ensure that students resume in a safe environment.
