But in today’s plenary, the lawmakers in the House of Representatives, especially those from the southern part opposed the 3% passed by the senate against the 5% y canvassed by the House.

Deputy majority leader, Peter Akpatason, among other lawmakers raised alarm opposing the 3% the harmonization committee between the House and the Senate finally arrived at for the host Communities funds regarding the PIB.

The rowdy session began at about 12noon before Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila and other principal officers were ushered into the chamber for Thursday plenary.

While the rowdiness continues, the Speaker, his deputy and the majority leader were seen having a chat before they called for a closed to session.

Recall that last two weeks, the House had agreed on 5% while the Senate arrived at 3% against the 10% demanded by the host communities.
