How a newly-wedded bride’s pregnancy was terminated after taking drug for diarrhea

A netizen, Gwaza Victoria, has narrated how her friend’s pregnancy was aborted after she used a medicine, flagyl to stop purging.

According to Victoria, the expectant mother was introduced to the drug during an end-of-the-year party they attended in 2023.

She said when the pain the lady was feeling did not stop the next day, her husband took her to a hospital where the doctor confirmed her pregnancy had been aborted by the flagyl she took the previous day.

“I didn’t know the power of the medicine “flagyl” until today. So a friend who got married last year in November was purging during our end-of-year party in December last year.

“Our mutual friend’s male cousin gave her Flagyl to help with the purging. It didn’t stop as she was having sharp stomach pains.

“The following day her husband took her to the hospital. After some tests, the doctor found out she had aborted her pregnancy using that flagyl.”
