Repeated appeals have gone to the state government to provide permanent military post in that particular point, regarded as hot spot for kidnappers.

It was this same spot where another first class monarch in the state, the Elewu of Ewu Ekiti, Oba Adetutu Ajayi was also shot by suspected kidnappers last year along Ayetoro-Ewu road.

The Ekiti State Police Command has confirmed the attack through its spokesman, Sunday Abutu.
