How Oba Elegushi allegedly sent Sam Larry to assault Mohbad

A petition filed by late artiste, Mohbad, to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Force Headquarters, Alagbon, to save his life from socialite, Sam Larry, has surfaced online.

In the petition, Mohbad alleged that Sam Larry said he worked for the Elegushi Royal Family while threatening his life.

ThisNigeria reported that some videos showing Sam Larry assaulting the deceased had gone viral.

 

The petition dated June 25th, 2023 read in part “While having a video shoot with another artist by name Zlatan Ibile, the above-mentioned persons numbering about fifteen led by SamLarry Elegushi, invaded the premises with dangerous arms such as guns, cutlasses, etc., where I was shooting video and scattered the whole process of the shotting, damaged the equipment I was using for the shooting valued about five million naira and started threatening my life which in the process they became violent and assaulted me which I sustained injuries but narrowly escaped.

“Attached to this petition are the said pictures. The total amount I paid for the shooting they have destroyed is eight million naira (N8,000,000), which is non-refundable.”

Meanwhile, the Elegushi Royal Family has distanced itself from Sam Larry.

Reacting to the death of Mohbad and the link to the Elegushi Royal Family name in the controversy, the palace said Sam Larry (Samson Balogun) does not work for the king in any capacity, neither is he a member of the royal family.

The Royal Family also extended its condolences to the family and friends of the late Mohbad, calling for a thorough investigation into his death.
