
The vice-president of Muryar Talaka in Zamfara State, Kabiru Sani, has narrated how over three hundred female students of Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe in Zamfara were kidnapped on Thursday night by bandits.
Kabiru Sani, speaking to BBC Hausa said the abductors surrounded the school at midnight and then knocked on the school gate.
When the gate was opened the bandits shot the security staff who opened the gate and he fled
After killing the security staff they went into the girls’ hostels and told them that it was time for morning prayers (Salat al-fajr)

Kabiru Sani said: ”They just entered the girls’ hostel and said, “Get up, get up. The prayer will be done. The girls got up and saw them with guns. So they followed the hotel to hostel and gathered them and walked with them. them. ”
Kabiru Sani, told the BBC that kidnappers abducted “more than 374 girls, and the girls belonged to different states; there were those in Kaduna, Sokoto, Kano, Jigawa and Kebbi.”
Last Wednesday about 27 students were abducted by gunmen at the Government Science College, Kagara, in Rafi Local Government Area in Niger state.
