The Nigerian Army said troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) on Saturday dealt decisively with Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists while attempting to infiltrate the ancient town of Biu in Borno State.
Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, in a statement yesterday, said the bandits were annihilated by troops of 231 Battalion and 331 Artillery Regiment, under Sector 2.
Nwachukwu said the criminal elements met their waterloo when the gallant troops swiftly routed them in a failed incursion at Maina Hari village in Biu on Saturday.
He said the troops unleashed superior fire power on the terrorists, neutralising five of the terrorists, and compelling others to withdraw in disarray in the intense battle.
According to him, the gallant troops also captured from the terrorists, one gun truck, one Deshka M Anti Aircraft Gun, one HK 21 Machine Gun, one Rocket Propelled Grenade Bomb, 137 rounds of 12.7mm Anti-Aircraft rounds, amongst others.
“Troops are currently in pursuit of the fleeing terrorists,” he said.
Eedris Abdulkareem accuses Charly Boy of selling him out for N70m
Nigerian Rapper Eedris Abdulkareem, on Friday, accused Charles Chukwuemeka popularly known as Charly Boy of selling him out to Nigerian Breweries for N70m when he had an issue with American rapper 50 Cent in 2004.
“Shut up! you collected 70 million from Nigerian Breweries to blackmail me. You also collected the evidence of the attack by 50 Cent and G-Unit from DJ Tee, who recorded everything that happened in the plane on that faithful day.
“DJ Tee was arrested by the Nigeria police to shut him up and then he relocated to the US. Nigerian artists; the likes of PSquare, KC Presh, Emoney were chased out of backstage with koboko by the same organizers that you conspired with So, shut the fvck up! you are a betrayal and a fake activist,” he wrote.
The 48-year old rapper also noted that music producer, Adetokunbo Odubawo popularly known as DJ Tee, witnessed the incident.
testifying Abdulkareem’s claim, DJ Tee commented, “I think you should do a live video so people can hear the truth. I am a complete witness. KC Presh was 6 or 7 seats away from me on the plane that faithful day. The gist is plenty bro. Area father lied about everything. I am disappointed in him.”
This comes after Charly Boy called out Abdulkareem for not appreciating the role he played during his fight with 50 Cent.
Narrating part of the event, Charly Boy wrote: “The people wey know dis story go tell you say after I show 50 cents and him people craze, I made dem leave Nigeria dat day, back to the states, forgetting the rest of their Nigeria tour.
“For beating my ungrateful son, Eedris, I drove dem back to America. Nigerian Breweries head scatter, dem come arrange me package give the IG of police. I was locked up in a police cell for almost 1 month. Sometimes in life, the people dat you fight for, fight you back our of their ignorance.”
In March 2019, Eedris accused Charly Boy of exploiting others for his personal benefit, and he later collected money from President Muhammadu Buhari’s election campaign spokesman, Festus Keyamo.
“Charly Boy is a typical full-time Naija hustler. He knows how to strategically create and maintain a very high nuisance value and then exploits the same for optimum profit. For him and his ilk, there are no principles or morals in the business, He specializes in taking advantage of peculiar circumstances to manufacture positive or negative hype and benefit for regular stomach infrastructure, which he usually uses his created weird personal to execute just like he did with me during 50cent and Nigeria Breweries.”

Eedris wrote his name into notoriety on December 4, 2004, when he fought with 50 Cent’s crew on the plane. After complaining that organizers of the now rested annual Star Mega Jam treated foreign artists better than their Nigerian counterparts, Eedris sat in the business class section reserved for 50 and his crew on a flight to Port Harcourt.
A fight ensued when he refused to leave the business class with members of his own crew brandishing bottles on the plane.
50 Cent, who refused to board the plane because of the ugly scene created by the lesser-known Nigerian rapper, left for his country on that day, forcing the abrupt cancellation of the remaining legs of Star Mega Jam that year.
