I was never in DSS custody over N460m fraud – Ahmed Uthman

Uthman, who contested the just-concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primaries for the party’s ticket for Yola-North/Yola-South/Girei, the Federal Consistency also denied being arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) over the same fraud allegation.
The politician in a statement made available to newsmen in Yola described the speculation of the fraud and his arrest as false information.
“I was never in DSS Custody and not under investigation but rather invited by the Police for questioning regarding a personal matter which I was cleared of and released on the same day.
“I want to draw the attention of the general public to understand that the reports in circulation were false information, fabricated
against me because of politics and other selfish reasons aimed at destroying my career,” he said.
Uthman insisted that he is currently living with his family and friends, saying there is no cause for alarm. (NAN)
