
The Independent Corrupt Practices And Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), on Monday, said it had tracked no fewer than 46 powered boreholes and eight 300kva transformers constituency and executive projects in Ondo Central senatorial district.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the 46 powered boreholes, awarded for N54.7 million, were located across the six Local Government Areas under Ondo Central Senatorial District, and completed in 2020.
Also, the supply and installation of eight 300kva transformers in five local government areas — Akure North, Akure South, Idanre, Ondo East, Ondo West — were similarly awarded for N29.6 million and completed in 2020.
NAN also reports that other projects tracked included the purchase of a CAT caterpillar grader equipment for N66.9 million in 2020, for rural road rehabilitation in Ondo Central Senatorial District.
The ICPC team, which tracked the three projects under the third phase of the Constituency and Executive projects’ tracking was led by Mr David Oluwole, with a view to ensuring value for money in their execution.
No fewer than 1,024 constituency and executive projects are billed to be tracked in 18 states, including 52 located in Ondo state.
