Igali celebrates Bayelsa Queens’ NWFL Premiership triumph

Bayelsa State’s commissioner for Sports Development, Daniel Igali, has expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Bayelsa Queens, following their stellar performance to emerge winners of the Nigeria Women Football League Premiership Super Six in Ikenne, Ogun State
Bayelsa Queens came tops of the Super Six, after amassing 10 points ahead of Nasarawa Amazons following a remarkable 4-1 win over Naija Ratels on Saturday
Igali, in a felicitation message he personally signed, lauded the inspiring victory, noting that the win did not only showcase the talent and resilience of the team but also solidifies their position as a top side that will hope to give Nigeria a better representation at the CAF Women’s Champions League
“I want to praise the players for their exceptional skills, teamwork, and determination throughout the tournament. The performances reflect the hard work and dedication of the athletes, coaching staff, management, and everyone involved.”
“I dedicate this trophy to the Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, and his deputy Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo for always matching words with action. This remarkable victory is a testament to the support we have enjoyed from their leadership,” Igali said.
Igali also acknowledged the importance of this achievement in preparing to give Nigeria excellent presentation at the continental level. Bayelsa Queens hold the highest finish among Nigerian women clubs.
