The union embarked on the strike Febuary 14 to demand improved welfare of its members, funding for public universities and a new payment system, amongst others.
However, the FG through the minister of Labour and Employment, Dr.Chris Ngige filed a suit against the academic union, asking the court to order them back to work.
The seven month old strike has witnessed several deadlock meetings between the Federal Government and ASUU.
