Anambra State chapter of Nigeria Football Supporters Club has postponed its planned fans’ hangout earlier scheduled to hold on Sunday, October, 24 in Onitsha, the commercial nerve center of the state.
According to a statement by the club signed by the state Chairman, Izuchukwu Udegbunam, the postponement became inevitable because of the security situation in the state with a promise that a new date will be announced when the security situation improves.
” We’re concerned about the safety of our fans and invited guests especially now that the security situation in the state has been breached continuously coupled with the heat up in the polity as the gubernatorial election in the State draws nearer and we’re no option than to postpone the event to a later date “, stated Udegbunam who also doubles as CEO of Bunubunu Sports and Cultural Limited.

The statement while regretting the inconveniences the postponement might cause assured that a new date will be communicated to all soonest.
It would be recalled that the fans’ hangout was supposed to be anchored by former Green Eagles goalkeeper, Emmanuel Okala supported by Chairman/ CEO of Brilla FM, Larry Izamoje.
