The police in Imo has urged the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members to be security conscious during their state in the state.
The command Spokesman, CSP Michael Mbattam told newsmen on Wednesday in Owerri that the consciousness was necessary to complement the security strategy of the command.
Mbattam said that the command had also partnered with sister agencies and the NYSC management for a smooth orientation exercise.
He urged the 2021 Batch ‘B’ Stream II members to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement to security agencies during their three-week stay in the state.
He appealed to corps members to arrive in the state before nightfall so as to avoid the risk associated with night travels.
“We also urge them to cooperate with security agencies in the camp for a hitch-free exercise,’’ Mbattam said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the NYSC Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course officially begins Sept. 1, 2021.
