A passionate appeal has gone to the three tiers of government in the country to give adequate budgetary provisions to infrastructural and security development, particularly for all border communities at Local government, state, and federal levels.
The Regent of Igasi-Akoko in Ondo state, Princess Mojirade Ipinlaye said the call became very necessary when one considered the porosity of many communities to criminals from their neighboring towns and villages.
Princess Ipinlaye whose community shares a border with Kogi state and Ekiti states said this development would reduce incessant criminality.
Besides, she advocated for an agency in the state that would look after such border communities like Igasi, Eriti, Ajowa, Akunu, Isua, Oniparaga, Molege, and others for the security of lives and properties.

The monarch recalled that the recent abduction of a Cassava farmer, Ojo Ajagunna, the Olukotun of Igasi Akoko, who later escaped after one night in kidnappers’ den led to apprehension in the community leading as many farmers are now afraid of going to their farms.
The abducted community leader was so lucky as all his abductors suddenly slept off at their hideout and he quickly escaped and fled home.
Princess Ipinlaye called for the establishment of a police post in the area with the support of a local vigilante group.
