Insurance FC official calls for better management of NNL

Sabina Chikere, the Coordinator of Insurance Football Club of Benin, has called for a more professional approach in the management of the Nigeria National League (NNL).

Chikere told our correspondent on Saturday in Benin that the competition’s management left so much to be desired.

She spoke against the backdrop of the sudden postponement of the NNL match day 15 fixture involving Insurance FC and Holy Arrow of Oleh in Delta.

Chikere noted that the postponement was as a result of the absence of the game’s officials who could not make it to the match venue due to late communication.

“It is unfortunate that the postponement came only when all the match preliminaries had been concluded and players of both teams had already filed out on the field for the game.

“The postponement is already a setback for both teams in terms of cost and other plans.

“A better planning and management of the league will save us from this unfortunate incident and embarrassment,” she stated.

Report came that Insurance FC currently sit in the second position of the Group B2 table of the NNL with 24 points, three points behind table-toppers Remo Stars FC.
