Attacks By Hoodlums Wont Weaken Our Operations- Custom Boss.

Area Controller of Kano / Jigawa Custom Area Command, Controller Nasir Ahmed has vowed that no amount of intimidation, or attacks will weaken their operations, instead they will remain focussed to discharge effective service delivery to the nation.

In a statement issued and signed by the Command Spokesman, Abdullahi Lagos, it stated that the Controller stated this while commenting on the recent attacks of officers of the command by unknown persons suspected to be bandits along Ringim- Kano Axis.

The Boss who expressed sadness over the loss of a diligent officer described the attack as an unpatriotic act, aimed at distracting the command from its resolve to ensure nothing affects the well being of Nigerians.

It could be recalled that On Sunday October 25, officers of the Kano/Jigawa Customs Area Command’s Roving Team ‘B’ were returning to the Command’s headquarters when at about 0445 hours they were attacked along Ringim Axis, Kano-Hadejia Road in Jigawa State by armed men, suspected to be bandits.

As a result of the attack, one of the officers, Inspector of Customs, JD Dadut was shot and killed, and another officer Assistant Inspector of Customs, ZR Saleh sustained gun shot injury.

Two AK47 riffles belonging to the deceased and wounded officers were carted away by the armed men.

The unfortunate incident was immediately reported to the Divisional Police Station, Ringim, Jigawa State for appropriate action(s).
Meanwhile the wounded officer is responding to treatment at a medical facility.

The Customs Area Controller, Compt. Nasir Ahmed, expressed sadness over the loss of hardworking officer and described the attack as an unpatriotic act aimed at distracting the Command from its resolve to ensure that, nothing that can negatively affect the well being of Nigerians is allowed into the country.

While praying for the soul of the departed Colleague, he charged his men to remain focused on discharging their duties to the nation.

Police spokesman, SP Abdul Jinjiri who confirmed the incidence, and assured the police are on top of theincidence for investigations.

Meanwhile the police in jigawa state have disloged some hoodlums whom were suspected to blocked Chai-Chai to Dutse road on rubbery mission, got arrested, while others took to their heels.

The Police discovered that the hoodlums had abandoned a motorcycle they robbed from one Danliti Sama’ila. They also left the same Danliti in his pool of blood. To this end, the Police took the victim to hospital for treatment, at the same time recovered the motorcycle. Effort is on to arrest the fleeing suspects, and investigation is in progress.
