John Otema was on Monday, August 17, sentenced to fifty years in prison.
This judgement was handed down to him by Justice Abiola Soladoye of the Lagos State Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court for the rape of a 19-year-old unidentified student.
John Otema (34) is an alumnus of the University of Lagos and he is a quantity surveyor and facilities manager. He was found guilty on three counts of rape and assault.
John Otema was also charged for raping another 20-year-old girl but he was not found guilty on that charge because the girl only accused him after he breached his agreement to pay for sex.
