The movie-making industry of Nigeria, Nollywood has been thrown into mourning as one of its rising stars, Adejumoke Aderounmu, is reportedly dead.
Aderounmu was popularly known for her role as Esther in Jenifa’s Diary.
It was learnt that the 37-year-old actress died in the early hours of Saturday, 8th April, 2024.

The cause of her death is yet to be made available to the public as of the time of filing this report.
During her lifetime, Aderounmu was nominated as the only Nigerian at the International Film Festival, Dallas Texas as the best actress for a short film shot in 2013.
