A major crisis this morning broke out in Deidei, a surbub of Abuja as a woman and a commercial bike rider reportedly lost their lives.
Violence was said to have erupted when the Okada rider who was conveying the woman was accused of deliberately pushing her into an oncoming heavy duty truck which crushed the woman to death.
Eyewitnesses disclosed that a crowd soon gathered and apprehended the Okada rider who was beaten to pulp before being killed.
Angered by the treatment meted to the victim, his fellow Okada riders who are mostly from the Northern part of the country mobilised and began to attack everyone in sight.
The area dominated by mostly Igbo traders was soon thrown into a free for all as all kinds of dangerous weapons were deployed to the fray.
The situation soon degenerated into an ethnic conflict as the unidentified woman was said to be Igbo while the Okada rider was Hausa.

Deidei which is situated along the busy Zuba expressway soon became a no-go area as the situation was said to be spreading to other areas
As at the time of this report, Idris Umar Girinya, the FCT Commander of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, VGN, informed ThisNigeria that a combined team of the Army, Police and VGN have been deployed to restore normalcy to the area.
Girinya confirmed that so far, there were two casualties while the security forces have brought the situation under control.
