JUST IN: Veteran journalist, Duro Onabule dies at 83

Veteran journalist, Chief Duro Onabule has died at the age of 83.

According to reports, Onabule passed away on Tuesday evening.

The deceased was the Editor of the defunct National Concord from 1984-1985.

He also served as a spokesman to former Military President, Ibrahim Babangida.

Onabule was a courageous writer who wrote the column ‘Nigeria Today’ both in The Sun Newspaper and Concord.

He was famously called Double Chief as he was a titled chief and the Chief Press Secretary to Babangida.

The late journalist refused to sign the press release announcing the annulment of June 12 elections won by late Chief Moshood K.O. Abiola in 1993.

The cause of his death is unknown as of the time of filing this report.
