Kaduna Catholic Church seminary attacked by gunmen, students kidnapped

Some students of a seminary belonging to the Catholic Church in Nigeria has been kidnapped by gunmen suspected to be bandits in Kaduna.

According to reports, the bandits attacked the seminary known as the St. Albert the Great Institute of Philosophy at Fayit community, Kagoma Chiefdom in the Jama’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The attackers came to the school in large numbers on Monday night with sophisticated weapons.

A student of the school speaking said the school was attacked after evening prayers

The student further said that the attackers were shooting sporadic as they took some of the students away.

“The other students who left early and were already having their dinner at the dining hall on hearing the gunshots escaped in disarray to different directions and were able to save themselves from being kidnappers.” the student said
