A Kaduna-based preacher, Rev David Azaman has been killed in a motor accident that happened early Sunday while returning from Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
Azaman was popular for his fearless campaign for the rights of Christians, especially those resident in Northern Nigeria.
On February 29, 2025, the preacher disclosed on his Facebook page that a pastor saw the vision of his death on his way from one of his mission trips.
Azaman, in the post, rebuked the vision, noting that it was one of the plans of the devil against him and his ministry.
He declared that he would live till he completed his mission on earth.
He wrote, “A pastor called me now and he said he saw an accident in one of my mission trips. According to the pastor, I should pray against death by accident.
“I will never die by accident, Psalm 91:16 God said he has satisfied me with long life. So if you like plan accident, in the spiritual realm I will not die now until I preach Christ enough and be satisfied with long life in Jesus Christ’s glorified name amen.
“The devil will always plan against the children of God but the hand of God will be upon us as we go out and as we come in.
“Jesus is god and I will not die without fulfilling my missionary work on this earth in Jesus Christ glorified name amen.”
However, Azaman lost his life in a fatal accident three months after rebuking the vision.
His members and supporters have taken to social media platforms to mourn his shocking demise.
