Kano Inaugurates State NYSC Governing Board.

Kano state government on Tuesday inaugurated the state governing board of the National youths Service Corps NYSC).
The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji while inaugurating the new board, said the state government acted in compliance with the provisions of section 6 and 7 of the National Youth Service Corps Administrative Act .
He said that the provision of the act empowers the state government to deal with the determination of members of the state governing board.
The state scribe noted that the board members were discreetly selected from all sectors of human endeavor.
He urged the members of the board to strive towards the development of the scheme, he assured that the state government is committed to the national scheme.
Kano state NYSC coordinator Hajiya Aisha Tata Muhammad applaud Kano state government, for the support, she noted that NYSC would support the activities of the new state governing board.
The chairman of the new governing board Professor Abdu Salihi pledge that his team would work hard to accomplish the objectives of the board.
Our correspondent reports that the members of the governing board includes: Major A. Abubakar representing Nigeria Army, ACP Uzairu Abdullahi representing Nigeria Police, Naziru Ahmad Ya’u representing Ministry of Commerce, Ibrahim Yahaya Yakasai representing Ministry of Education, Musa Yahaya Bichi Permanent Secretary, Special Duties Directorate in the office of the Secretary to the state government.
