This followed a resolution of the House after adopting a motion moved by Mr. Ibrahim Usman (APC-Adavi) Constituency and seconded by Mr. Dahiru Ahmed (APC-Okene II).

Speaker of the Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole, while ruling on the motion, said that the establishment of a magistrate’s court in the area was necessary.

Kolawole said that the court would serve three major towns in the area and make litigants not travel long distances to Lokoja for court cases.
