Kogi Deputy Gov Salifu hosts pro wrestling champion, Aliking

Kogi State Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Salifu, on Wednesday (September 3rd, 2025) received pro wrestling champion, Attai Muhammed, globally known as Aliking De Action Disaster, at his home town residence, Ejule, a rural community located within the Ofu Local Government Area (LGA) of Kogi State.
The deputy governor was pleased to welcome Aliking as a state ambassador who has been representing the state very well for many decades when it comes to professional wrestling sport.
The visit offered an opportunity to brief the Deputy Governor on the forth coming World Professional Wrestling Championship tagged Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo Peace and Unity World Wrestling Championship set to hold on Saturday, 13th of December, 2025 at Muhammadu Buhari event Center, Lokoja.
Aliking, who was excited to visit the number two citizen of Kogi at his country home, explained that his visit was to formally intimate the Governor Ododo led, Kogi State Government and the good people of state about the upcoming end of the year championship to be hosted Kogi State.
The deputy Governor who is a die-hard professional wrestling fan, commended Aliking for representing the state positively, saying I’ve heard a lot about you, your wrestling powess and I’m proud of you for representing Kogi State well.
Receivinh Aliking at his country home, the elated Deputy Governor assured of the state governmen support to ensure that Aliking re-write the name of the state with a golden pen on the world map of professional wrestling.
Responding, Aliking promised to make the state proud at the championship as he boosted that ten of Heddi Karoui, also known as The French Submissioner cannot stop him from becoming the next AIWF World Middle weight champion and title holder.
“Heddi Karaoui may be coming to Nigeria from France with lots of training gargets at his disposal, but I’ll not let him cart away the AIWF World Middle Weight Title just like that. I’ll be competing for glory in front on my governor, his deputy and other illustrious sons and daughters of Kogi State, then allow a foreigner to get away with the world middleweight glory, it is not possible.
“The die is cast, and the stage is set for the first ever world sports championship to be hosted in the confluence state of Nigeria” boasted Aliking.
Executive Director, Pro Wrestling Afrik Promotions, Olusesan Olukoya, who also doubles as the Secretary General of Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA), said: “We want to bring the world to Kogi State and then write the name of the state on the world professional wrestling map. Aliking deserved to compete for the world middle weight title, having climbed the ladder from the cradle to the stage he is now as the African middleweight champion and title holder.
Olukoya was full of praises for the Deputy Governor who said that his principal, the Chief servant of the state (Governor Ododo) is also a sports lover and will welcome Aliking when the opportunity avails.
The historic first of it kind wrestling Championship that will be promoted by a prominent indigenous wrestling Promotions outfit, Pro Wrestling Afrik Promotions limited having received an approval from the Allied Independent Wrestling Federations (AIWF), an American based world wrestling body with head office at Mount Airy, North Carolina, USA.
AIWF is a global professional wrestling body that unites over 150 independent wrestling promotions in 52 countries, with a growing presence in Africa, works with local organisations to promote international professional wrestling and discover new talents in the sports.
AIWF is active in countries like Nigeria, Cameroon, Benin, Togo, Zimbabwe and Botswana. An approval has been received already from the world body that has sanctioned the championship, to the promoting organization where Aliking Action Disaster of Nigeria would be taking on Heddi Karaoui “the French Submission Machine” from France.
Other wrestlers featuring in the epoch-making international championship are – Mr. Sharpman, PWA Light heavyweight champion, Flying Danko who is also an indigene of Kogi State as well as other talents from Congo, Cameroon, Ghana and Gambia.
