An accountant in Lagos, simply identified as Folake Abiola has committed suicide after a long battle with depression.

The incident happened at her residence in Osapa London, Lekki, Lagos state.

Folake was said to have been battling depression on account of being single and childless, She allegedly killed herself after drinking insecticide at her residence

She died shortly after as men of the Nigeria police and her family members met her lifeless body in her house.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of Lagos state police command SP Benjamin Hundeyin said the incident happened on May 27, 2022.

Her corpse has been released to members of her family to enable them to carry out her last rites
