Nollywood actress and Lagos PDP Deputy Gubernatorial candidate, Funke Akindele has expressed confidence in winning based on her social media following.

Akindele said this  during an interview with Channels TV on Thursday.

She said” I have the numbers, I have fans and followers”.

“I am true to myself , I have over 19 to 20 million fans on social media.

“What about the grassroot? The grassroot are a lot of people, they are my fans too.

“I have fans at the grassroot level everywhere.  What I am coming in for is to better the lives of Lagosians.

“I am tired of talking and typing. I want a positive change. I want to get into power to proffer solutions to the major problem we are facing with the support of my governor.”

ThisNigeria reported Akindele confirmed that she is the running mate to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Lagos gubernatorial candidate, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran a.k.a Jandor.
