Lagos arraigns 27 for refusing to use pedestrian bridge

No fewer than 27 people have been arrested for crossing the highway instead of using the available pedestrian bridge.

The development was disclosed by the Lagos Commissioner, Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, in a post he made on X.

The commissioner posted, “27 persons were apprehended by the operatives of @LAGESCOfficial (KAI) at Oshodi Oke, Ojota, Ketu, and Palmgrove Onipanu for refusing to use the pedestrian bridge earlier today. 16 street traders were also arrested at Ikorodu, Ketu Mile 12, Ojota and Maryland.”

He added that all the suspects have been taken to court for prosecution in accordance with the law of the state.
