As part of her continued effort towards human empowerment, capacity building and community/environmental enhancement, the Lagos Women Run initiator, Ms Temitayo Popoola has embarked on some serious projects to help actualize her 2024 Lagos Women Run dream.
One of which is the rehabilitation of the Salvation Army Nursery and Primary School, Okobaba, Ebute Metta East, Yaba, Lagos where the school uniforms were bought and sown for pupils and classroom blackboards changed and replaced with white marker boards to suit the modern day societal practices.
Thrilled by the this unexpected and unannounced gestures of the Lagos women Run at this time, over excited Principal of the School, Mrs Tinubu Faosat Abimbola, thanked Lagos Women Run Coordinator, Ms Popoola for her kind gesture and pray that the Almighty God replenishes her pockets in million folds.
According to her, the ongoing renovation of the school classroom blackboards and sowing school uniforms for the pupils of the school by an individual at this hard time of Nigeria economy by an individual was least expected more so when one considers where the Salvation Army Nursery and Primary School is located.
