Lawmaker Gives out Education Scholarships To Students

The Lawmaker representing Owan Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Professor Julius Ihonvbere, OON on Saturday says Education remains his priority hence his massive support to his constituent in the sector.
Professor Julius Ihonvbere said education plays a major role in the growth and development of any society and its importance cannot be overemphasized.
The Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Basic Education and Services, said one of his promises is to see every child have access to quality education as well as ensuring places of learning are conducive, suitable and habitable for academic activities.
“In the area of Education, I have done quite a lot just within a year in office. I have some of the completed and ongoing school building projects in Owan Federal Constituency”.
” For instance, I have constructed a 3 Classroom block Oah-Okpuje, Owan West, Renovation of Edeki Grammar School with 10 standard classroom block, staff room, principal’s Quarter and Installation of 5,000 galoon capacity steel water storage in Owan East LGA, Edo State. I have also Constructed a 4 block of 2 classroom with office, store and solar inverter in Awaika Primary School, Ivbiughulu, Owan West, Construction of 4 block of 2 classroom with office, store and solar inverter in Owato Primary School Oke old, Owan West LGA, Edo State, Construction of 4 block of 2 classroom with office, store and solar inverter in Owmen Primary School, Ugborbighan Erah, Owan West LGA, Edo State. Construction of 4 block of 2 classroom with office, store and solar inverter in Ese Primary School in Ivbiaro, Owan East LGA, Edo State.”
Professor Ihonvbere also named the following schools where he either renovated or constructed to include, Renovation of Agbalosu Primary School, Iyiakhara, Warrake, Owan East, is ongoing, Renovation of Ake Primary School, Ake, Owan East, ongoing, Renovation of Umede Primary School, Avbiosi Old Site, Iuleha, Owan West, ongoing, Renovation of Iloje Primary School, Okpuje, Iuleha, Owan West, Construction of a Block of 3 Classroom with toilets at Essoriri Primary Era in Owan East and Renovation of a block 3 classrooms at the Obe Primary School, Sabogidda-Ora Owan West LGA, Edo State, that are currently ongoing.
The Professor of Political Science said over a hundred students are running on his scholarship, while others are enrolled in West Africa Examinations Council, National Examination Council and Joint administration Matriculation Examination, just as many have been trained in skilled programs.
