The Legislative Writers Forum (LWF) has honoured Eko Smile Support and Empowerment Initiative (ESSEI) for its service to humanity.
Abraham Ogwaje, Secretary of the organisation, while presenting the award on Wednesday in Kaduna, said it was earned through recognition to service.
According to him, the award is in recognition of exemplary leadership, service to humanity and support to Internally Displaced Persons in the state.
He said the award was to encourage the NGO for more efficient selfless service delivery to humanity.
Ogwaje urged the NGO to continue to put smiles on the faces of widows, less privileged and IDP’s in the state.
In her response, Blessing Sunday, Chief Executive Officer, ESSEI, expressed appreciation for the recognition, describing it as a step towards the right direction that would further bring out the best in her.
She implored other well meaning Nigerians to see selfless service to humanity as responsibility expected of everyone for a better Nigeria.
“As such, I am glad that a reputable forum made up of print journalists and broadcasters found me worthy amongst over 200 million Nigerians in recognition of my contributions.” (NAN)
