
The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has condemned the gruesome murder of its leader in the Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.
This is as the killers are demanding N100 million ransom for those kidnapped.
MACBAN leader in Gwagwalada, Alhaji Aliyu Adamu, his son, and three others were killed by gunmen suspected to be bandits on Thursday, April 7th, 2022.
Alhaji Adamu and the four others were gunned down at Dako Hamlet near Dobi village in Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT.
Court remands trader over kidnap of neighbour’s son
The chairman was said to have been trailed by the bandits from the Izom cattle market in Niger State. Four other people in the same vehicle with him were kidnapped and the bandits are asking for 100 million ransom.
In a press statement issued by the national headquarters of MACBAN, signed by its National Secretary, Baba Othman Ngelzarma, the association called on the security agencies to take action against the ever-increasing activities of bandits nationwide, especially in Niger and the FCT.
MACBAN had lost two state chairmen and five LGA chairmen across the country following the activities of cattle rustlers and bandits.
