Gov Mohammed mourns Bauchi New Telegraph Reporter

Governor of Bauchi state, Bala Mohammed has condoled the family of the late correspondent of the New Telegraph who died on Monday.
This was contained in a condolence message signed by his media aide Mukhtar Gidado. Governor mohammef extended “his deep condolences to the family of late Ali Garba, a journalist and correspondent of the New Telegraph Newspaper who died yesterday in Bauchi after a brief illness.”
Governor Mohammed described the death of Ali Garba as a “great loss not only to the media industry in Bauchi State but to the National leadership of the NUJ and the people of the State.”
The Governor said late Ali was a veteran journalist who worked with passion, commitment and professionalism and “his contributions to the advancement of journalism profession will always be remembered.”
The Governor paid tribute to the NUJ, members of the Correspondents’ Chapel as well as “friends, colleagues and members of his immediate family”, praying to God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss of the departed soul.
In the same vein, the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Bauchi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists has received with shock the sudden demise of Ali Garba.
The NUJ in a statement signed by the secretary of the council, Isah Garba Gadau says, “We regret to announce the postponement of our earlier resolve to hold our congress meeting on Wednesday, 23rd 2020 due to the death of our member, Ali Garba of the Correspondents chapel. “Another date will be fixed and communicated in due course, please”, the statement read in part.
The council said it received “with shock, the death of the very humble, friendly and complete gentle journalist.”
