Malaysia predicts favourable economic performance post pandemic

Malaysia’s leading index rose 15.7 percent year-on-year in April, hinting favourable economic performance if pandemic eases, said the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) on Friday.
The DOSM said in a statement that the improvement was supported by positive contributions of all leading index components .
It is influenced primarily by the low base effect from the previous year.
