Man accuses policeman of aiding fraud, Delta PPRO reacts

A man, identified as Tosin Olugbenga, has claimed that a policeman in his state, popularly addressed as “Yahoo Police”, is aiding fraudsters for a fee.
The man, who made the allegation via his X account, claimed he was informed about the development by his mother, the last time he visited his hometown.
Although he did not mention his state, Olugbenga said the policeman ensured that fraudsters in the area registered before operating, adding that those who fail to enlist under him are frustrated.
”When last I went to hometown, my mummy told me the police station in the town has an officer dedicated to Yahoo boys.

“They call him Yahoo police, and he’s in charge of all the Yahoo boys in the town.
“If you are doing Yahoo, you must register with him, pay a percentage of every fraud money you collected. If you operate without license, they will frustrate your fraud business.”
Replying him, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bright Edafe, said, “If you are picked now to mention the name of the Police officer and the boys giving him percentage now, people will ask why you were arrested. Make una dey get sense for this our country”
