A woman from Bako Estate, Owode Onirin in Lagos, identified as Mary Olohunwa, has been hospitalised after being assaulted by her ex-husband, Keji Ademola, last Thursday.
In a video sighted by ThisNigeria, Mary was bleeding profusely after the attack and was taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Ademola allegedly told the relative that he noticed odd marks on their children’s heads.
Mary said that she made the marks to shield the children from evil forces.
A relative of Mary said that Ademola confronted her on her way to her shop, punched her and smashed a heavy stone on her.
“My sister is still in hospital. The stone injured her badly and we need to pay about N160,000 for her treatment.
“The police said he will be taken to court today (Monday) by 11 am and we support that.
“This is the third time he wanted to murder my sister. They divorced three years ago because of his violence.
“We took him to Ketu Police Station before this recent incident, but he was released eventually without any punishment. This time, I hope the police do not compromise on their job,” she said.
