The Delta State Police Command have arrested a man identified as Godspower Adegheji for allegedly hacking his girlfriend to death with a machete .

The deceased, Gift Oloku, a student of the Delta State Polytechnic was killed in the Isoko North Local Government Area of the state, on Saturday.

According to reports, the incident happened after the suspect accused the deceased of infidelity which led to a heated argument and the victim allegedly broke his Iphone 11 promax.

Godspower, who was allegedly under the influence of drugs, macheted his girlfriend to death, and rushed her to the hospital after he realised what he had done.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson to the command, Bright Edafe on Sunday said” This is Godspower Adegheji of Etevie quarters Ozoro, age 23yrs.

“He killed his girlfriend Gift Oloku ‘f’ aged 22yrs in ozoro using a machete after she mistakenly broke his IPhone 11pro max while they were fighting cos she went out without telling him.”

He also confirmed the arrest of the suspect by the Police Command.
