Markets in Lagos have been given the green light to extend hours of operation from 8 am to 6 pm.
The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Gboyega Akosile, tweeted this on Sunday.
This extension affects both food and non-food markets and the alternate days of operations remain in place. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for food markets while Monday, Wednesday and Friday for non-food markets.
The Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs in Lagos, Dr Wale Ahmed, mentioned this in a statement.
