Mass sack protest: El-Rufai declares Ayuba Wabba wanted

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has declared the president of the National Labour Congress, Ayuba Wabba wanted for “economic sabotage.”

El-Rufai made the announcement via his Twitter handle on Tuesday.

The Governor also said a handsome reward would be given to anyone with information on the whereabouts of Wabba and his comrades.

“KADUNA UPDATE: Ayuba Wabba & others of @NLCHeadquarters declared wanted for economic sabotage & attacks on public infrastructure under Miscellaneous Offences Act. Anyone that knows where he is hiding should send a message to @MOJKaduna KDSG. There will be a handsome reward!” he tweeted.

The NLC chairman had flagged off strike action in the state on Monday over the mass sacking of civil servants in the state.

The state was also thrown into darkness by the electricity workers union, aviation and railway workers also shut the Kaduna International Airport and the Kaduna-Abuja train service.

The supply of petroleum product was also cut in the state by the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG).
